Learning for Life Director meets Pope Benedict XVI in Birmingham

Professor James Arthur met Pope Benedict during his visit to Birmingham on the 19th September 2010 at the Birmingham Oratory. After being introduced, Professor Arthur gave the Pope a gift of his book John Henry Newman: Continuum Library of Educational Thought, published by Continuum in 2007.

Professor Arthur, Learning for Life Director, also had the privilege of being invited by the Foreign Office to attend Pope Benedict’s historic address to both Houses of Parliament and members of British Civic Society in Westminster Hall on the 17th September 2010.
